Nigerian Police Launches ‘Smart Police’ Mobile App

This is a good news from Nigerian Police Force. The law enforcement agency has just launched the Smart Police app to cater for case reporting such as rape, robbery, assault and theft without compromise of identity.
This is good news as they have joined the league (CES 2016) of those releasing new tech stuff this period.

This app was created by Cyberspace, a wholly Nigerian company created in 1995 to deliver ICT services and cutting edge networking solutions. Cyberspace is reputed for being the first to build a world class converged IP network that supports applications based on the 3 hierarchical models in 2002.
This is a major step in the right direction as far as security is concerned. Residents don’t have to pass through the rigors of unstable networks for voice calling. The app also allows for real time updates as cases are treated. All information sent are accessed only by Approved personnel of the Police Force. With the click of a Panic button and a short description of the event, the information is received immediately by the Police.
To download the application, go to Google play store if you are using Android device and if not, visit your device store to download it.  Search for ‘Smart Police’ and click on open to launch it.
You can register via Facebook, Google+, Anonymous login (Your details will be unknown) to create account.
With the application, you can make distress call (emergency call) at ease, all what you have to do is to make use of the ‘Panic Mode button’. You can also interact with the force via the app.
You can also download the Smart Police app here.
